SPEAKERS WAYNE HOBBS is the UF/IFAS Clay County Environmental Horticulture Agent. His educational background is in Landscape Horticulture. Wayne will discuss raised beds, container gardens and edible gardens. LARRY FIGART is an Extension Agent II in Urban Forestry for the Duval County Extension Service. His expertise is in arboriculture, tree maintenance, pruning and protection during development. His topic will provide information regarding care during storms for smaller trees, including flowering trees. He will also give practical information on choosing and maintaining wind resistant trees. BARBARA BEYERL is a Clay County Master Gardener, Master Naturalist and a member of First Coast Invasive Working Group (FCIWG). Her topic is her specialty which will provide information regarding your choices of native and Florida friendly plants and avoidance or removal of invasive plants. MICHAEL D. ADAMS is a biologist, author and researcher. His educational background is in natural resources and history interpretation. His talk will give information concerning the use of native vegetation in garden landscapes, xeriscaping and wildlife enhancement. Gardening for pollinators will also be discussed. Susan Brecht

March 15-16  - RUMMAGE SALE - Friday and Saturday, 8 AM till 2:00 PM, First Presbyterian Church, US 17 and Gum Street, Green Cove Springs.   A large variety of gently used items, clothing, household goods, etc., will be available.   This sale is sponsored by Presbyterian Women, and all proceeds are used to support our local community.
